Local Dominance Takes Hard Work (Dallas, TX)

If it was easy everyone would do it. Maybe.
There’s plenty of room at the top. Claiming some of that space takes a bit of work and that’s what makes owning your own slice of that pie so simple (not easy!) to accomplish—you have basic human nature on your side, if you’ll use it! For so many small business owners, maintaining the “status quo” is their business plan. This is the way we’ve always done it so we see no reason to change.
Sad, but good news for you! If more than 80% of your competitors are willing to do nothing more than what they’ve always done this offers up a couple of interesting points for you to consider:
- First, those competitors are allowing themselves to go the way of the dinosaur. Willfully thinning the herd, their unwillingness to change leaves you plenty of room to navigate the waters of today’s markets.
- The only competitors you have are the ambitious ones who realize what it takes to get ahead. Don’t be threatened or frightened by this. The more highly skilled your competition is, the higher the bar is raised and the better you’ll want to perform. Better competition makes you a better entrepreneur.
- Getting to the top can be considered easier than staying at the top! On your way up, everyone else is taking pot-shots at the market leader. You have some allies helping you overpower the industry front-runner. When you’re the top-dog, then you become the target of all of that ambition.
It takes ambition, a solid plan, and a relentless drive to become the driving force in your local market.
