Local Sir Speedy Employee Earns Professional Certification:  Ed Parrish now a Customer Service Certified Professional

Dallas, TX, September 2009—Phillip Crum, owner of Sir Speedy Dallas in Dallas, is pleased to announce that  Ed Parrish has received the Sir Speedy Customer Service Representative Certified Professional designation.  Ed has been working at Sir Speedy since early 2009. “Our business is becoming increasingly more complex, requiring skills such as relationship building, marketplace awareness, and an understanding of printing and marketing services as the core driver in helping our customers grow their businesses,” said . “I am very proud of  Ed for taking the initiative to complete this program and enhance  career.”

The Sir Speedy Employee Development Certification Program is a curriculum that strives to increase an employee’s skills and overall professionalism gaining recognition for achievement throughout the Sir Speedy network and industry. In addition to specific coursework, which is required for certification consideration, all candidates must successfully pass all related tests before earning the certified professional designation. The certification program for Customer Service Representatives covers topics such as: sales and marketing, business management, customer relationship marketing, communication skills, digital printing and an understanding of the full-range of marketing services and other products offered by Sir Speedy.

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., March 27, 2008 – Sir Speedy ( Web Site Executives Related Articles Google), a franchise network of printing and marketing services centers, has received a Franchise 50 Award from Franchise Business Review. This is the second year the company has received the award. Sir Speedy ranked number 23 in the Large Class, which represents franchise systems with 200 or more units. Sir Speedy also received a 2008 Franchisee Satisfaction Award in the Business Services industry category.

There’s some stout competition for this type of thing.

To measure franchisee satisfaction, Franchise Business Review surveyed franchisees from 325 franchise companies, representing 45,000 franchisees. Franchises were evaluated in five areas: Training and Support, Franchise System, Franchisor/Franchisee Relations, Financial Opportunity and Overall Satisfaction. The 2008 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards highlight those franchises whose validation among their franchisees was superior in the industry.

I was fortunate enough to win an award at the annual FSI Sales Forum in Baltimore this past weekend. It was the first-ever presentation of the “Don F. Lowe SalesPerson of The Year” award. I’m told the award was developed to be presented to an individual on an “as warranted basis” which means that maybe it’s given out each year, and maybe it’s not! That fact makes it all the more special to me knowing that I’ll forever be in the rarefied company of other like-minded people.

I do want to thank everyone at FSI, particularly that handful who’ve been lucky enough to have to put up with me for the past 15 years! Now that my sons and I have acquired our own facility you can expect the volume of support calls to only increase! Thanks again to everyone out west and those owners and sales reps, past and present, whose life-paths have crossed my own in a positive way.

Sir Speedy Dallas, one of the fastest growing marketing and printing services providers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area has purchased Zebra Printing, another local and very successful digital printing facility.

Former owner Jaime Joiner said,

Once we sat down and talked to Phillip Crum and his partner/son Tyler, we knew there was some very exciting potential here and we decided, after much due diligence, to pursue a merger that was good for both of our operations.”

The two companies will officially merge November 1st and both Jaime and her Zebra co-owner, Sherry Briggs, will be joining the Sir Speedy team in very high profile ways. Sherry will be joining Phillip and Tyler in the new business development arena, and Jaime will be adding her considerable experience to the offset and digital production areas where she’ll work with Preston Crum, Digital Production Manager.

We’re very, very excited about this merger and we look forward to a long and profitable relationship with both Jaime and Sherry. Welcome aboard, ladies!
